Things to Remember…
In your luggage:
- Passport
- Credit card and cash (no travelers checks in the Bahamas, USVI has several banks)
- Health Card and Insurance Card
- Wash cloth
- Beach Towel
- Wind Breaker/Rain Jacket
- Hat, wide brim or ball cap
- Boat shoes, sneakers or sandals (non-slip and non-marking soles)
- Bathing Suit 2 or 3 preferred and cover-ups
- Shirts 3-5 of favorite tees or polo’s (fast drying lightweight fabrics are preferred)
- Shorts/skirts 2-3 pairs (fast drying, lightweight preferred)
- Sun protection clothing 1 long pants and 1-2 long sleeved (lightweight fabric preferred)
- Tasteful cover-ups/dresses for the ladies, light pants or shorts and shirts for the gents, this is for on-shore excursions and shopping.
- Sunglasses
- Soap/Shampoo (bio-friendly preferred)
- Sunscreen (30 uv or better) *Please NO SPRAY SUNBLOCKS*
- Prescription medications (clearly marked)
Always good to have:
- Lip balm
- Personal First Aid
- Picture and video camera
- Unlocked GSM cell phone, SIM cards can be purchased at some Tourism Bureaus, not a problem in USVI)
- Flashlight
- Multi-use pocket knife (checked bag only)
- Sailing Gloves (if you wear them at home when sailing bring them with you)
- Watch
For Sea sickness: Avoid These:
- Gravol
- Bonamine (prescription)
- Relief bracelet
- Stamps/patch
- Ginger ale/ginger snaps
- Ginger lozenges
AVOID THESE:
**Hardcover suitcases (difficult to store)
**Black Soled or high heel shoes
**Domestic Animals
